Description

Dodicile is a clear, red-pink colored sterile solution. 1 mg cyanocobalamine, 100 mg thiamine hydrochloride (89.2 mg thiamine equivalent) and 10 mg benzyl alcohol.

 

Deficiencies due to these two vitamins often occur simultaneously. Their combined use helps to treat these two vitamins-related pathological disorders (neuritis, toxicosis, stroke, anemia, weight loss).

Dodicile is well tolerated, with no local or general side effects.

Cyanocobalamin is rapidly absorbed and dispersed into the organism after administration; some bind to plasma proteins, some are stored in the liver and other tissues. Excess is excreted through the kidney.

Thiamine is rapidly and uniformly dispersed in the tissues, metabolized in the liver and excreted in the urine.

Dodicile USAGE AREA / INDICATIONS

Dodicile Injectable Solution is used in the treatment of the following disorders caused by deficiencies of cyanocobalamin and thiamine in horses, cattle, dogs and cats.

• Metabolic and liver dysfunction: ketosis , liver diseases, toxic states
• Growth disorders and slimming conditions: loss of appetite, fatigue, convalescence
• Neurological and neuromuscular insufficiencies and toxic disorders: neuritis, neuralgia, stroke
• Infectious or parasitic anemia, blood structure disorders
• Muscle fatigue situations

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

It is used intramuscularly or intravenously in the following doses unless otherwise recommended by the veterinarian. The recommended doses are as follows;

Adult cattle and horses: 5-10 ml Dodicile (equivalent to 5-10 mg cyanocobalamin and 500-1000 mg thiamine hydrochloride) per animal.

Calves and foals: 2.5-5 ml DODICILE per animal (equivalent to 2.5-5 mg cyanocobalamine and 250-500 mg thiamine hydrochloride).

Dogs and cats: 0.5-1.5 ml DODICILE per animal (equivalent to 0.5-1.5 mg cyanocobalamine and 50-150 mg thiamine hydrochloride).

Administration is repeated every 5-7 days at the discretion of the veterinarian.

DRUG INTERACTIONS
Carbonates and citrates can reduce the effect of thiamine. Vitamin B12 may interact with chloramphenicol. Administration of antibiotics may lead to changes in vitamin B12 concentrations.

Since amprolium is a vitamin B1 antagonist, it should not be used at the same time as preparations containing vitamin B1.
It should not be mixed with other veterinary medicinal products.

Persons known to be sensitive to thiamine and group B vitamins should avoid contact with the product.

STORAGE CONDITIONS AND SHELF LIFE
Must be stored below 25 ° C protected from heat and light sources. Freezing should be.
Should not be stored in the refrigerator.
Shelf life for packaged veterinary medicinal product: 2 years from date of manufacture.
Shelf life after first opening: 28 days.
The plugs should be drilled at most 20 times.

50 and 100 ml amber colored Type II glass bottles are sold in cardboard boxes with gray rubber stoppers, gray aluminum hood and yellow polypropylene seal.
