Description

 Finadyne (flunixin meglumine), its NSAID for cattle, pigs and horses, has been reformulated and approved for use in food-producing animals.

Finadyne 50mg/ml Solution for Injection is indicated for the alleviation of acute inflammation and pain in both cattle and pigs. It is also indicated for the alleviation of inflammation and pain associated with musculo-skeletal disorders and colic in horses.

The reformulated product has a shelf life of three years and is now available from wholesalers in 50ml and 100ml vials.

Target species

Cattle, horses and pigs.

Indications for use, specifying the target species

In Cattle:
For the control of acute inflammation associated with respiratory disease.
Finadyne has also been shown to have some benefit in the treatment of experimental acute bovine pulmonary emphysema (Fog Fever).
Finadyne Solution may be used as adjunctive therapy in the treatment of acute mastitis.
