Linco-Spectin Injection Solution contains as active substances in 1 ml of product Lincomycin (as lincomycin hydrochloride) 50 mg, Spectinomycin (as spectinomycin sulfate) 100 mg and Benzyl alcohol Ph.Eur.
Way of acting:
Linco-Spectin Injection Solution is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections in pigs, suckling calves, sheep, goats, turkeys and chickens, dogs and cats including lymphotomic and / or spectinomycin-sensitive bacterial species such as:
·        a). The in vitro combination is active against Actinobacillus spp .; Pasteurella spp .; Serpulina hyodysenteriae; E. coli; Salmonella spp .; Campylobacter spp .; Bacteroides spp .; Actinomyces spp; Clostridium spp .; Fusobacterium spp .; Actinomyces spp .; Staphylococcus spp .; Streptococcus spp .; Mycoplasma spp.
·        (b). Indications
o   Pigs: for the treatment of bacterial and mycoplasmal pneumonia, dysentery, bacterial enteritis and infectious arthritis.
o   Bovine calves: pneumo-enteritis on a bacterial basis
o   Sheep and goats: for the treatment of contagious swelling and respiratory infections.
o   Chickens and turkeys: for the treatment of chronic respiratory disease (HBV), swine cholera, staph infections.
o   Dogs: for the treatment of respiratory and skin infections, urinary tract infections and secondary bacterial infections (pneumonia, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, bronchitis, dermatitis, cystitis, metritis, abscesses and gastroenteritis).
o   Cats: for the treatment of cystitis, secondary bacterial infections due to panleukopenia, pneumonia and rhinotracheitis, other bacterial infections of the upper respiratory tract.
This preparation can be used in animals during pregnancy and lactation!
Dose and Usage:
Intramuscular injection!
Pigs: 1 ml / 10 kg live weight daily for at least 3 days depending on the condition of the animal.
Bovine calves: 1 ml / 10 kg live weight, twice on the first day of treatment with subsequent single daily treatments for 2 to 4 days, depending on the condition of the animal.
Sheep and goats: 1 ml / 10 kg body weight, muscle, once daily for 3 days
Chickens and turkeys: 0.1 ml / 0.5 kg bodyweight, subcutaneously, once a day, for 3 consecutive days.
Dogs and cats: 1 ml / 5 kg live weight. The dose may be repeated at 12 to 24 hour intervals for 3 to 7 days depending on the condition of the animal. If necessary, the treatment course may last up to 21 days.
Withdrawal period:
pigs – 14 days; suckling calves – 21 days after the last treatment; milk (sheep and goats) 48 hours after the last treatment.
Special instructions:
The contents of the vial should be used within 28 days!
Storage: at temperatures below 25 ° C.
